At Olive Grove Counselling, I provide grounded, compassionate therapy that helps clients feel at ease as they face life's challenges with clarity and strength. Rooted in authenticity and transparency, I support people in setting boundaries, releasing emotional burdens, and reconnecting with their inner resilience. Like an olive grove - strong, enduring, and peaceful - this space is here to nurture growth, healing, and honest change.
It can be so hard to ask for help, particularly in a part of the world that values independence and self-reliance. However, there is strength in taking the first steps to getting the help you need. And there is comfort and healing in being seen and understood. Counselling is a journey that you don't undertake alone, thank goodness!
Taking a person-centred approach means I meet clients where they are in their journey and help them build tools that I believe will benefit each person. I like to emphasize that there is no "easy button" for mental wellness, so I work with each person to create a toolbox that meets their needs. To do this, I draw from several different therapy approaches. Clients are invited to take what they need from our work together.
I am Registered Psychologist (#5145). I work individually with adults on a variety of issues including anxiety, depression, trauma, and other mental health concerns. I also support clients in learning skills for stress management, coping with emotions, life transitions, and relationship concerns. I am experienced in working with domestic violence issues and working with clients who are mandated to treatment.
My goal is to offer a warm and inviting environment where I can build a therapeutic relationship with all clients. I see this as the foundation for exploring challenges, learning new skills, and facilitating positive change. I like to use humour, transparency and directness. I have been described as a "no BS" and straightforward therapist. I will tell it like it is, always in encouraging and compassionate ways.
